• Initiation of "Sir Arthur C Clarke Challenge Trophy" Inter-school Astronomy Quiz Competition in 2001. ( Integral & annual episode since 2001)

• "Observation Camp 2003" - A unique observation-related experience for all amateur young astronomers of Ananda College.
  

• "Mars Approaches" - A celestial night camp for Anandians to eye-witness the Martian encounter, taking place once a 40,000 years.

• Inception of "STAR PARTY" Inter-school Observation Camp, in 2004, as an joint effort with the Astronomical Society of Mahamaya Girls' College, Kandy, to be recognized as the primordial Observation Camp, organized by school students in South Asia. ( Integral & annual episode since 2004)

• Eranga Thilina Jayashantha, a member of AAA qualified for the International Astrophysics Olympiad 2008
